We hope the participation of #Armenian athletes in the upcoming #Baku2015 #EuropeanGames can help build confidence and trust for #NKpeace," tweeted Warlick, U.S. co-chair of OSCE Minsk Group.
At the beginning of the month the National Olympic Committee of Armenia arrived at the decision that Armenian sportsmen would participate in the European Games in Baku.
The Games are met with a mixed reception in Azerbaijan as well. Considering the appalling human rights situation in Azerbaijan, 45 representatives of international human rights organizations, politicians and experts from various countries, representatives of Azerbaijan, have issued a statement addressed to world leaders, urging them to boycott the European games in Baku and impose sanctions against Azerbaijani officials.
