A delegation of the South Caucasus Railway will attend the 61st meeting of the CIS Rail Transport Council to be held in Baku Oct 21-22.
The press service of the company reports that their decision to attend the meeting has been approved by Armenia's transport and communication and foreign ministries.
The meeting will involve railroaders from Council member states, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Ukraine and Uzbekistan, associated members Bulgaria, Georgia, Latvia and Finland, as well as from Estonia, Lithuania and Iran (observer).
The Council will sum up the results of 2014, will outline plans for 2015-2016 and will consider joint requirements and tariff policies.
The CIS Rail Transport Council was set up on Feb 14 1992.
