On July 2, Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov spoke on the telephone with US Secretary of State John Kerry, at his request, the Foreign Ministry of Russia reports.
The two ministers discussed ways to settle the Syrian crisis, including the potential of th Russian-US cooperation in the fight against terrorist groups in Syria, as well as issues pertaining to the efforts of Russia and the United States as co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group on the Nagorno-Karabakh settlement based on the results of the June 20 meeting in St Petersburg between the presidents of Russia, Armenia and Azerbaijan.
