France's Ambassador to Armenia Jean-Francois Charpentier does not rule out a possible meeting of the Armenian and Azerbaijani Presidents on the initiative of France.
When commenting on the possibility of the Armenian and Azerbaijani leaders' third meeting on Karabakh after the meetings in Vienna and St. Petersburg, the French diplomat said, "Why not". Ambassador Charpentier added that in St. Petersburg the presidents made a point of their regular contacts on Karabakh and agreed to continue the meetings in such a format. As regards France, it has always stressed willingness to host a high-level meeting on Karabakh, he said. To note, on June 20, a trilateral meeting of the Russian, Armenian and Azerbaijani presidents took place in St. Petersburg on the initiative of Russia.
