Tbilisi. On Wednesday, September 10, Deputy Foreign Minister of Georgia Davit Jalagania hosted Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Iran to Georgia Abas Talebi Far, the Georgian foreign political department reports.
At the meeting the parties discussed important issues of the agenda of Georgia-Iran bilateral relations, as well as prospects for the further development of co-operation.
"Special attention was paid to the need to intensify co-operation between the two countries in the areas of trade and economy, education, culture and people-to-people contacts", reads the statement.
According to the ministry's information, the parties estimated positively the agreement, reached within the P5+1 format of negotiations in July 2015 and expressed hope for its contribution to strengthening of peace and stability both in the region and in the world.
