To improve the efficiency of the community workers in Armenia, a World Bank-funded project on introduction of a system of integrated social service is being implemented in the country. The project will be completed within the coming four years.
Speaking at a thematic seminar, Armenian Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Artyom Asatryan said a "singe window" system will be introduced. Nevertheless, the citizens will not deal directly with the officials to avoid corruption risks.
The minister said 56 social service points will be opened in the country. He said that 15 such points have been quite successfully operating for 1.5-year already.
A special website will be created to raise public aware of the integrated social service system. The WB has provided US$20 million for implementation of the project.
