L'ubos Blaha, a member of the Slovak Delegation to PACE, says on his Facebook page that he will keep supporting Armenians in Armenia's dispute with Turkey and Azerbaijan, because it is the Armenians that deserve support.
Blaha points out that he has recently received a letter from Armenia's ambassador to Slovakia, who wrote that due to the Slovak Delegation's resolute support in PACE, the anti- Armenian report on "Escalation of violence in Nagorno-Karabakh and the other occupied territories of Azerbaijan" by British former PACE member Robert Walter was rejected. In his letter, the Armenian ambassador expressed his profound gratitude to Blaha and the other members of the Slovak Delegation for supporting the stand of the OSCE Minsk Group and Armenia on that matter. He stresses that the Slovak Delegation's votes significantly contributed to the continuation of the Karabakh peace process based on the Madrid Principles (2007).
Blaha, in turn, thanks the Armenian ambassador for the warm words and assures that he personally always supports the side of truth and peace.
To recall, on January 26, the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) adopted the document based on the report "The inhabitants of frontier regions of Azerbaijan are deliberately deprived of water" by Milica Markovic (Bosnia and Herzegovina).
At the same time, PACE voted not to adopt a resolution on "Escalation of violence in Nagorno-Karabakh and the other occupied territories of Azerbaijan" based on a report by British former PACE member Robert Walter. The report was presented by Mogens Jensen, as Robert Walter is no longer a PACE member.
