Arevik National Park in Syunik province of Armenia is on fire.
The press office of the Armenian Ministry of Emergency Situations has told ArmInfo that the Ministry received the alarm about the fire near Artashen village on July 13, around 2:43 pm local time.
The total area of the fire is nearly 100 ha, including 2.5 ha in the territory of Arevik National Park. 78 employees of the Emergency Situations Ministry, 7 employees of the Meghri Police Department, 13 employees of Arevik National Park were extinguishing the fire.
The operations were continued on July 14. At 6:10 am, a fire unit, rescuers, 25 employees of the Arevik Park, 50 servicemen of one of the military units of the Armenian Defense Ministry and 15 local residents arrived at the scene to extinguish the fire.
