Teheran hopes to tackle issue of Russia's S300 supplies as soon as possible, Iran's Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif said in Yerevan today during the joint press-conference with his Armenian counterpart.
He also hopes that the matter will be solved during the talks between defense ministers of Iran and Russia. At the same time, the minister declined to answer the question if Iran is ready to abandon a lawsuit to the Geneva Arbitration Court and get the alternative S-300.
To recall, Iran's Ambassador to Russia Mehdi Sanai said today that Iran still thinks that the contract on delivery of S-300 is still legitimate, as it was signed before establishment of the anti-Iranian sanctions. Moreover, S-300 is a defensive but not offensive missile system.
