Within the framework of the 12th British Film Festival ArmenTel CJSC (Beeline trademark) and the British Council Armenia announce "Around Us, With Us" photo competition and a contest for the best film review. This year the festival is dedicated to the inclusion and communication issues.
To participate in the contest for the best film review, one should write a review of one of the Festival's films and upload it to www.britishcouncil.am before March 17. The members of the Association of Armenian Film Critics and Cinema Journalists will read the reviews and the author of the best review will be awarded an Apple iPad.
The contest "Around Us, With Us" suggests drawing attention to the representatives of vulnerable groups. The participants are to submit a photograph to the competition, which they think best reflects the idea of inclusion in the society and win a Photo Camera.
To participate in the contest one should send a photograph, which will express a sample of inclusion in bright and unique manner to Norayr. [email protected] email address staring from 7 March till 16 March. The photo must not exceed 5 MB. The photographs will be posted in the British Council Armenia Facebook page. The winner of the competition will be only one contestant, and the photograph will be selected by the professionals of this field, who will take into consideration the singularity of the idea as well as the professionalism of photo making. There are surprises in store for all the participants.
Participants must be aged 13 and older. The photographs can be made by a professional or a non- professional camera. The photos submitted to the competition can be used for the British Council's publishing materials.
Photographs spreading hatred and abusive opinions and not concerning the idea of the competition will not be accepted. The vulnerable groups of the society include children, elderly people, people with disabilities, minority groups: national, religious, sexual, etc., refugees, unemployed, people returning home from confinement and homeless people, etc.
The 12th British Film Festival is organised by the British Council with the support of the British Embassy Yerevan, ArmenTel (brand name Beeline) and UNICEF.
