Tbilisi Traffic restrictions have been imposed on some roads
of Georgia because of heavy snow fall and glaze ice, the Georgian Road
Department reports on Wednesday, January 9.
Traffic of all kinds of vehicle is
prohibited on sections Gudauri-Kobi and Stepantsminda-Lars of the highway
Mtskheta-Stepantsminda-Lars (Military-Georgian Highway, connecting Georgia with
Russia) because of intensive snowfall and danger of avalanches.
Traffic of trailers and half-trailers and
buses, designed for more than 30 passengers, is not allowed on the sections
Aragvispiri-Gudauri and Kobi-Stepantsminda of the Military Georgian Highway.
Traffic of the rest kinds of vehicle is
free on section Aragvispiri-Mleta, traffic of the rest kinds of vehicle is
allowed with anti-sliding chains on sections Mleta-Gudauri and
Kobi-Stepantsminda.
Traffic
of vehicle with two and more leading axles is free.
On
the section 1-35 km of bypassing Tbilisi road (ZAGES-Lochini) traffic of
trailers and half-trailers is allowed with anti-sliding chains. There are no
restriction for traffic of the rest kinds of vehicle.
Traffic
of trailers, half-trailers and buses,
designed for more than 30 passengers, is prohibited on section
Tkibuli-Ambrolauri (37th - 72nd kilometers) of the road
Kutaisi-Tkibuli-Ambrolauri. Traffic of the rest kinds of vehicle is allowed
with anti-sliding chains. Traffic of
vehicle with two and more leading axles is free.

section Ujarma-Telavi (15-66 km) of the road Vaziani-Gombori- Telavi.
