The US Embassy in Armenia alerts all U.S. Citizens that the security situation involving armed personnel at the police forces building in Erebuni is still ongoing, the Embassy says in a statement.
The statement is as follows: "Roads remain blocked in the area. Current reports indicate that one police officer has been killed and numerous attackers maintain control of the building and are holding hostages. Official travel to the Erebuni District by Embassy personnel is restricted until the situation is resolved. The Embassy advises that all American citizens avoid travel in that area and monitor local media for further information.
