Armenia will participate in the 14th International Architecture Exhibition that will take place from 7 June to 23 November at the Giardini and Arsenale venues (Preview on 5 and 6 June) and in various other venues in Venice.
Deputy Minister of Culture Arem Samuelyan told reporters on 22 May that Armenia will present a project called "Capital of Daydreams" telling about the history of architecture and town planning in Armenia since 1920s. The project is focusing on the three key stages of development of the Armenian modern architecture: Tamanyan's school, architects constructivists, and Rafael Israelyan's approaches to development of the national style in architecture.
The exhibition will feature photo and video materials accompanied with audio and video effects. According to Samuelyan, the Armenian pavilion will open at Palazzo
Zenobio on 6 June with participation of high-ranking guests from many countries.
Armenia participates in the Architecture Biennale of Venice for the 6th time already. This year, the country participates in the event with the support and financing.
