There are Armenians among the victims of the subway accident that took place in Moscow on Tuesday morning, reports Armenia's Foreign Ministry with reference to the Embassy of Armenia in Russia.
20-year-old Mary Kocharyan has been hospitalized with a broken spine and head and is receiving intensive care. 23-year-old Anna Bulkhadaryan is in hospital with lots of moderate injuries. It is not yet known if the women are Armenian or Russian citizens.
Some 21 people were killed and 129 were injured as three carriages derailed on a train traveling between the Slavyansky Boulevard and Victory Park stations.
Official Representative of the Investigation Committee of Russia Vladimir Markin said that they are not considering the possibility of a terrorist act. In any case, the accident was caused by some technical problem.
