Dispersal of the protest outside the parliament building is another display of hooliganism of Armenia's authorities, Levon Zurabyan, the head of the Armenian National Congress party faction, told ArmInfo's correspondent.
In particular, the parliamentarian said, 18 activists of the "NO!" movement, including the movement coordinators Arshak Musakhanyan and Avetis Avagyan, have been detained. He said the authorities have no chance to win this "war."
ANC Faction Secretary Aram Manukyan said the activists was detained along with activists and was kept inside the police car for several minutes. "Four police officers dragged me into the car. Later they persuaded me to get out," he said adding it was done intentionally. Manukyan think the police officers could not but recognize him.
"A new stage of fight started. It will be outside the parliament, in the streets," he said. The parliamentarian highlighted that the people does not support the reform. "It is doomed to failure. Look at the aggression of the ruling regime against everyone who oppose the reform," he said.
The situation outside the building of the Armenian National Assembly where the "NO!" movement is protesting against the Constitutional Reform remains tense. Nevertheless, Parliament of Armenia passed draft amendments to the Constitution of Armenia with 104 votes today. The referendum is scheduled for December 6. Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan, who will retire or will take a vacation by that time, will be appointed as the Chief of the Campaign Headquarters. Those opposing the reform say it will help the incumbent authorities retain their grip on power.
