The health of the six-month-old Seryozha Avetisyan - the only survivor of the family murder in Gyumri - is getting worse, as the child is suffering from cardio- vascular deficiency and kidney failure, the Health Ministry reports.
Specialists who have arrived in Armenia from Russia together with the local physicians are doing their best to help the child recover.
Earlier, on Sunday, in a phone talk with the Armenian president, RF President expressed hope that the best doctors of Armenia and Russia will make every effort to help Seryozha Avetisyan - the only member of the Avetisyans to survive - recover. Vladimir Putin also expressed readiness to send a special Russian medical helicopter to Armenia in order to transfer the child to Moscow for further treatment.
Avetisians - two grandparents, their son and daughter, a daughter- in-law, and little girl - were shot dead on 12 January by Valery Permyakov, a soldier serving at Moscow's 102nd military base in Gyumri. A six-month-old boy, Seryozha - in critical condition after suffering stab wounds - is the only survivor. Permyakov has admitted to the murder.
