Two were killed and seven were wounded in a late night explosion on April 25 in Halabyan Street not far from the center of Yerevan. According to the Investigative Committee of Armenia, it was a Bogdan bus serving the No.63 public transport route.
According to the source, at the moment of explosion, there were 9 passengers in the bus besides the driver. One of the injured, Arthur Margaryan (1994) received the necessary medial aid and was released from hospital. Another six people are currently at the Armenia Medial Center: Hasmik S. Melkonyan (19630, Anush A. Yeghikyan (1979), Haroutiun N. Terzyan (1971), Edgar A. Gasparyan (2002), Anahit S. Margaryan (1994), Roland S. Khojayan (2001). One of the killed was identified. The identity of the second killed passenger is being verified.
Investigation is underway. A group of investigators, medical experts and other necessary personnel are working on the scene. All the necessary investigative measures and examinations are being held to find out the reason of the explosion. The resolution of the experts will be made public later.
