On April 15 "Memorial" alley established by Ucom employees opened in Tsitsernakaberd. The company noted that the alley stretches along the road of the Genocide Museum and the grove leading to the Sports and Music Complex. 999 trees have been planted in the alley.
Ucom CEO Hayk Yesayan recalled that a year ago the company initiated Recognize1915.am project aimed at raising global awareness of the Armenian Genocide.
"This year is the centennial of the Armenian Genocide. Thousands of international guests are to visit Tsitsernakaberd and lay flowers for the victims of the crime. Within the framework of Recognize1915 project, Ucom employees have established an alley stretching along the road to the Genocide Museum. 999 trees were planted. Each of Ucom employees has thus paid his tribute to the innocent victims of the Armenian Genocide as trees are the symbol of life, hope and faith in the future," he said.
It is noteworthy that Ucom Company organized a Media and Information Security Conference on April 10- 11 ahead of the Armenian Genocide Centennial. Mass media representatives, specialists in the information and cyber security, bloggers and other experts attended the event held under the project "Recognize 1915" (www.recognize1915.am). A public awareness-raising instrument has been created under the project. It enables everyone to add a banner telling about the Genocide of Armenians to their e-mails and inform and remind their friends and colleagues of the Genocide through e-correspondence.
