The fulfillment of the "road map" will allow elaborating an agreement on Armenia's accession to the Customs Union (CU), Common Economic Space, and finally the future Eurasian Economic Union, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Vasily Nebenzya says in his interview with Interfax when asked if the list of EurAsEC members will be enlarged.
The Russian diplomat points out that Armenia and Kyrgyzstan show their interest in the Customs Union, Common Economic Space and the future Eurasian Economic Union.
"Armenia has a "road map" on accession to the Customs Union and the Common Economic Space and it is carrying it out successfully enough. The fulfillment of the "road map" will allow elaborating an agreement on Armenia's accession to the Customs Union, Common Economic Space, and finally the future Eurasian Economic Union", he says.
In the meantime, Nebenzya says that in January 2015 EurAsEC will be replaced by the Eurasian Economic Union, antecessors of which are the Customs Union and the Common Economic Space. "We have almost prepared the agreement on the Eurasian Economic Union. On April 29, Minsk will host a meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council with participation of the Presidents of Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan. Our task was to complete the agreement on the Eurasian Economic Union by May. I hope we'll cope with this task", he says.
