Both flight recorders of the An-12 plane that crashed in South Sudan on November 4 have been found on the crash site.
"The country lacks the relevant equipment to find out the cause of the crash," Kuong Gatluak, Transport Minister of South Sudan, said on the public radio, according to the local media. The minister did not say, however, where the data of the flight recorders will be decoded.
To recall, the An-12 cargo plane crashed on November 4 shortly after take off in South Sudan's capital Juba. According to preliminary data, at least 40 people were killed. Five out of the six crewmembers were Armenians. The Foreign Ministry of Armenia published their names: command pilot Gevorg Tovmasyan, co-pilot Samvel Hambardzumyan, on board engineer Samvel Mkrtchyan and technicians Armen Antonyan and Suren Petrosyan. The plane belonged to Tajik company Asia Airways.
