"Rostelecom" company jointly with Yerevan Mayor's Office took part in improvement of one of the parks in the center of Yerevan, located between Nalbandyan and Hanrapetutyan streets and provided the park with a free of charge Internet.
Everybody want to live in a clean and improved city, and thanks to such programmes, Yerevan has become a warmly welcoming, cosy and modern city, the company reported. Besides planting of trees, Rostelecom offered free WiFi in the park. Within the frames of the programme for corporative social responsibility, since 2012 Rostelecom has already provided several parks in Yerevan and in the regions of Armenia with free WiFi.
To recall, Rostelecom's subsidiary in Armenia, GNC-ALFA, also has a 20GBs MPLS1 network connecting all branches of corporate customers. Rostelecom's GPON2 network covers 19 cities and brings optical fiber to every home. The company offers a wide range of services to a majority of Armenian providers, commercial banks and government agencies. Rostelecom started up in Armenia in late 2012 through its subsidiary, GNC-ALFA. The company provides Internet, fixed telephony and IP television services. Its fiber network covers almost 80% of Armenia's territory and is connected with Iran and Georgia.
