Tatevik Shahunyan. Turkey did everything possible to
inquire into the incidents of 1915, Anadolu reports Turkish Parliament Speaker
Cemil Cicek as saying.
Cicek says that Ankara has opened its archives for the
world community, however the parliaments of many countries have recognized
"he events of the early 20th century as Genocide." According to him,
parliaments must not inquire into historical events. They should create
conditions to normalize the relations between countries. Cicek says Ankara stands ready to set up a
joint committee to study "the events of the early 20th century in Ottoman
Turkey."
