Russia's sanctions against Ukrainian air companies have not yet affected the prices of flights to Armenia, representative of Ukraine International Airlines in Armenia Tigran Achoyan told ArmInfo on Monday.
He said that three weeks before the sanctions, following Eurocontrol's requirements, the company changed the path of its flights to Armenia. "We continue flying to Armenia every day, but now we are flying through Bulgaria and Turkey, which makes the flights 30-35 minutes longer," Achoyan said.
Spokesperson of Armenia's Chief Civil Aviation Department Nelli Cherchinyan told ArmInfo that two Ukrainian companies are flying to Armenia for the time being - Ukraine International Airlines and Dniproavia - with neither of them having recorded any problems so far.
On Aug 7 Russia prohibited Ukrainian planes to cross its territory when flying to Azerbaijan, Georgia, Armenia, Turkey and a number of other countries.
