What we see in Ukraine is a result of inadequate relations of Russia and the West, Marat Terterov, Principal Director of the European Geopolitical Forum (Brussels) said in response to ArmInfo's question in an online press conference.
"For me Arseniy Yatsenyuk is Mikheil Saakashvili -2. I don't mean that the United States fully fund the Ukrainian Government, but sometimes moral and psychological assistance is worth much more. Therefore, I don't think that a similar scenario is possible in Armenia, which unlike Ukraine is not a platform for geopolitical games of Russia and the West," Terterov said. He believes that Russians and Armenians have become so interrelated peoples over the last 200 years that a Ukrainian scenario will hardly work in Armenia. The Armenian Diaspora will not launch an information war against Russia, unlike the Ukrainian and Baltic Diasporas that actively lobby expansion of NATO, Terterov said.
The press conference was organized with the support from the UK Embassy in Armenia as part of the project "Relevant Dialogues for Armenian Media" implemented by the Region Research Center.
