Russia's activity at current stage of Karabakh conflict is for a reason, says Head of the Milli Mejlis Committee on Legal Policy and Statebuilding Ali Husseinly, APA reported.
He said that real efforts and meetings over the Karabakh peace process are mediated by Russia. "If the West had no energy interests in Azerbaijan, it would hardly ever feel concerns over the conflict," he said. According to Husseinly, when speaking of the Karabakh conflict European and U.S. officials always spotlight the power of the Armenian lobby.
"Azerbaijani officials welcome the Sochi meeting. Nevertheless, Armenia is not capable of competing with Azerbaijani either economically or in the military field," he said.
