"Tie and Wind" bicycle trek was organized in the frames of Sunchild International Environmental Protection Festival in Yerevan on November 15 through the support of VivaCell-MTS.
As the press-service of the company informed ArmInfo, the event was organized in the frames of Sunchild International Environmental Protection Festival. The bike ride was organized together with Foundation for Preservation of Wildlife and Cultural Assets of Armenia and Amateur Cycling and Cycling Tourism Federation.
More than 60 cyclers from Freedom Square cycled through basic streets in Yerevan, wearing official costumes. The tour had the goal of getting the attention of the society on air pollution, car overload in big cummnities, and to stress the importance of starting cycling culture in the cities.
Representatives of state, social and educational institutions and citizens who support this idea took participation in the cycling.
Director of Foundation for Preservation of Wildlife and Cultural Assets of Armenia Ruben Khachatryan participated in the race with a bicycle with electric motor which he uses over a year.
