Changes in Russia-Middle East relations cannot but affect the Armenian-Russian military strategic cooperation, Sergey Minasyan, Deputy Head of the Caucasus Institute, told reporters, Tuesday.
He said Russia's rapprochement with the East is motivated by geopolitical changes, but it will not affect the relations with Armenia. Addressing the relations of Armenia and Iran, the political scientist predicted certain positive developments in the short run.
"If Iran and the West manage to achieve certain agreement on the Iranian nuclear program, this will give a new impetus to the Armenian-Iranian trade and economic relations. This will help the two countries re- launch a range of projects that were frozen earlier," he said.
