 The political
autumn 2014 is rather hot and the October 10 rally seems to become culmination of
the parliamentary passion. Don’t you think so?

 

 The hot political autumn 2014 will become even
hotter and lead to the relevant results. A couple of years ago, nobody could
even think that the delusive appearance of ANC, PAP and Heritage party at one
and the same platform may gain a distinct shape. But this is a fact today. I
should say that just thanks to such consolidation today's National Assembly
differs very much from the former parliaments, and its tribune has turned into
an altar of political discussions.

Ex-president
of Armenia Levon Ter-Petrosyan predicted the process of splitting of the PAP
from the power that stated in 2011. Incidentally the PAP itself was ready to
split and differed from the rest pro-power parties by its readiness to serve
and be useful to the people.

  That is to
say,  here a traditional scheme was also
used.

 We have
been living in a rather interesting country, where the opposition, that
contradicts the power, in its turn, has another appointed opposition. These
appointed "oppositionists" did everything possible to prevent our
cooperation. However, taking into consideration that the ANC-PAP cooperation
has become a result of the public order, their efforts were doomed to failure
from the very beginning. I am  confident
that the cooperation of these two Armenian centrist political forces is the
only way for the true breaking of the situation in Armenia. They have already united
the society and have a great potential of further consolidation. I also welcome
the fact that Heritage party is next to the ANC and PAP. As for  the People's Party of Armenia and his
leader Stepan Demirchyan, he contributed much 
in establishment of the pan-national movement in the republic. I think
that the rally on 10 October will become culmination of consolidation of the
society around these four forces and isolation of the Republican Party of
Armenia from the society.

 

However,  the authorities have managed to split the
Armenian Revolutionary Federation Dashnaktiutyun from the
opposition

Such a
scenario was predictable, as a political force, which always fluctuates in its
priorities and interests, cannot have a good influence at the people demanding
justice. Nevertheless, I hope that ordinary members of the AFRD will make their
own conclusions and participate in the rally on 10 October.

  

Can we say
that the public displeasure has already  reached the boiling point
necessary for the ultimatum to the authorities?

 

 Today everybody, including the RPA members,
understand the necessity of the radical changes in Armenia.

Even Serzh
Sargsyan has understood that, stemming from his announcement about the
beginning of the "new political season".  That is evident that he understands what
danger and changes this political season contains personally for him. Many
people have already understood that saying about trenches, Sargsyan himself has
been conducting a "trench policy" since 1 March 2008. And only the
known Surik Khachatryan was absent from his trench for a short period of time.
Even the immoral people in Armenia
cannot understand how such a man could be reappointed as a governor.

I am confident
that the society needs changes, and the dangerous and false way, which Armenia
follows, should be stopped , as the authorities go on deceiving both their own
people and foreign investors. Only such a power could for three years go
towards signing of the Association Agreement and DCFTA with the European Union
and then suddenly announce about an intention of joining the CU. Where have we
found ourselves? I said  in April that we
have found ourselves off the beaten track. With such a non-legitimate power, Armenia could
not find itself in another place. The regime, which the people do not trust in,
has only one purpose - to hold down the power by any means. I think that it is
quite logical that a result of contradictory promises given to different
geo-political force centres, today Armenia has got an image of an
unreliable partner and is in isolation. "If earlier we used to say that
Karabakh has found itself outside the negotiating processes regarding its own
destiny, today we can say for sure that Armenia has also found itself
outside the geo-political processes around itself. Nobody takes the
non-legitimate power into account much, they only force such a power.  The restoration of Armenia's image is possible only is
it gets rid of such a power and establishes democratic institutions.

 

What do you
think about the constitutional referendum planned by the RPA members? Can we say
this is an attempt to ensure their own reproduction at least for the next 10
years?

    

The regime
that seized the power on 1 March 2008, and violated all the possible
constitutional norms, does not have a moral right even to pronounce the word
constitution. To think about making constitutional reforms, one should at least
observe the norms of the acting Constitution. As a result of breaking the
Constitution by the authorities, today everything is false in Armenia: sociology, census data,
the results of the elections. ANC has always been against the constitutional
reforms.  Taking into account the
fact,that according to the acting Constitution, one person cannot run for the
president two times, an attempt to reform the Constitution is a claim to take
the power for term of life. Everybody understand that the regime will bear no
responsibility for this regular "constitutional" reproduction. So,
all the forces that do not want to consolidate in the struggle against the
regime, turn into the participants in the "referendum" and promote
prolongation of Serzh Sargsyan's power . And only consolidation of the society
and a single response from the Liberty
Square, that denies  even the possibility of the referendum, will
finally fail this operation. I think that this issue must not be even
discussed, it should be crushed in the bud, in that case, all together will
automatically result in extraordinary elections. We cannot let ourselves such a
generosity  and wait for the elections in
2018, as the power contains serious threats up to the national security of Armenia.

 

 

Will Robert
Kocharyan make use of the voices at the Liberty Square?

 

 Robert
Kocharyan and the pan-national movement are antipodes and it is absurd to look
for the link between them. "I resolutely condemn the people trying to
revive Kocharyan as a politician. I always come forward against the discussion
of his person after the events on 1 March 2008. This is immoral, as even the
talks about Kocharyan are stemming from Serzh Sargsyan's interests

 

After
the known congress of the RPA, the rest political forces were told that for
getting political and other dividends they have to apply to the RPA office at Melik-Adamyan street.
Don’t you scare to be behind the door?

 

 

 The consolidation of major part of the society
around Armenian National Congress (ANC), Prosperous Armenia Party (PAP) and
Heritage party  is a direct response to
Melik-Adamyan street (office of the ruling RPA - edt.), in particular, to its
constitutional operation for the power reproduction. So, the society themselves
will decide how to restore democracy and the constitutional regime in the
country. Armenia
does not have resources any more to follow the decisions adopted at this
street, and Melik-Adamyan street
will stand back against the claims of the people. And today they have the only
chance to do something good for Armenia  - to leave the power without bloodshed.

 

When analyzing
the actins of the authorities, we have got an impression that the authorities understood  the necessity of refusal of the presidential election
institute after 1 March 2008. This will once and forever remove from the agenda
the fact that the society does not accept “the results” of the presidential
election…

 

I don’t think
that the current regime has such analytical abilities. Simply, Serzh
Sargsyan's second term is coming to an end and we have to think how not to let
the regime again keep the power. To preserve his current fellows in arms,
Sargsyan has to present the grounds that will make it possible to prove that in
future as well he will decide everything in Armenia. But I do not rule out that
sober people will be found among members of the RPA, able to join the pan-national
movement. However, they still have such a chance.
