Well-known cello player Narek Hakhnazaryan will record Witold Lutoslawski's compositions for BBC Radio 3.
The musician told reporters on January 25 that the work will be done in a month. "I have never performed Lutoslawski's compositions. I look forward to doing it," Hakhnazaryan said.
Earlier BBC included the gifted cello player in the list of the New Generation Artists. "I have been recording compositions for BBC for three years. I have worked with almost all orchestras of BBC - symphonic, philharmonic, Scottish Symphony Orchestra," Hakhnazaryan said. The musician's collection of records includes the compositions by Shostakovich, Tchaikovsky, Dvorak.
Hakhnazaryan has performed in many countries, including the United States, Germany, the UK, Austria. France. He is going to make a tour to Tokyo and perform with the NHK Symphony Orchestra.
The musician has won a lot of international contests. He won the gold medal for cello at the 2011 International Tchaikovsky Competition, and many other awards.
