Unlike Azerbaijan Armenia prepares its society for peace, Secretary of the National Security Council Artur Bagdasaryan said during a conference on NATO partnership in the South Caucasus on Thursday.
He expressed regret that the Azeri authorities continue their anti- Armenian rhetoric. "We don't act like this. We are firmly committed to resolve the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict peacefully," Bagdasaryan said.
He said that in late Mar 2014 the Armenian and Azeri presidents are supposed to meet again. "Unfortunately, all the preliminary agreements reached so far have not been realized because of Azerbaijan's inconsistency," Bagdasaryan said.
He said that Armenia is strongly committed to develop its ties with Georgia. "For us Georgia is very important not only as a transit country but also as home to a large Armenian community. In this light, we would very much like to see more constructive relations between Georgia and Russia," Bagdasaryan said.
