The Public Services Regulatory Commission of Armenia ruled on Wednesday that the Electric Networks of Armenia (ENA) should pay a fine of 15mln AMD for having broken some of the Commission's rules, particularly, for having failed to meet its contractual obligations to Mikmetal, a company building a multifunction complex in the center of Yerevan.
The ENA has objected by saying that its controversy with Mikmetal concerns mostly property relations, which are not regulated by the Commission's rules.
The Commission has reserved the ENA the right to dispute its decision in court. Whether the ENA will do it will become known shortly.
The Electric Networks of Armenia is 100% subsidiary of Inter RAO UES. It has an exclusive license to transmit and distribute electric power in the territory of Armenia and almost 967,000 consumers.
