Dozens of civic activists have gathered outside the building of the Constitutional Court of Armenia since early morning today, on 14 November, protesting against the country's accession to the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU).
Activists told ArmInfo's correspondent on the spot they demand the Constitutional Court to recognize the treaty on Armenia's accession to the Russian-led Union as unconstitutional.
Parents and relatives of the soldiers killed in non-combat related incidents in army have joined the picketers. They blame the law-enforcement for inactivity and demand impartial inquiries into deaths of their sons.
The Police try not to let the protesters close to the Court building. The situation is growing tense with every moment. Brief scuffles regularly break out between protesters and police officers.
The Constitutional Court of Armenia is set to study the treaty on Armenia's accession to the EEU today.
