According to the laboratory analysis results, the splenic fever diagnosis of the two Armenian citizens at the "Nork" Republican Infectious Clinical Hospital has been confirmed.
The press office of the Armenian Health Ministry has told ArmInfo that the condition of the patents is satisfactory. The preventive and epidemiological measures are still being taken.
Earlier on August 4, the State Food Safety Service of the Armenian Ministry of Agriculture received an alarm that 2 residents of Artamet community (Armavir province, Armenia) were taken to the Armavir Medical Center and then moved to "Nork" Republican Infectious Clinical Hospital. The patients were preliminarily diagnosed with splenic fever. The inspectors of the Service promptly arrived at the hospital. They found out that one of the patients bought meat in Ninotsminda district of Georgia and brought it to Armenia. The meat was found in the flats of the patient and his neighbor. The inspectors sent the meat for laboratory examination.
