ArmInfo.On August 16, in the library of National Assembly of Artsakh, a lecture-discussion was held on the theme "US foreign policy in the South Caucasus", conducted by the professor of the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy, the first Armenian Ambassador to the US Ruben Shugaryan.
According to NKR Parliament press service, chairman of National Assembly of Artsakh Ashot Ghulyan noted that it is important to learn the opinion and views of a specialist who for many years was engaged not only in politics but also in scientific work on the events taking place on the international political scene.
Referring to the theme of US foreign policy in the region, Shugaryan turned to the dynamics of development of the Armenian-American relations, the activity of the Armenian Diaspora in the USA, and also presented the forecasts of the leading analytical centers on the Azerbaijani-Karabakh conflict.
Then the Ambassador answered questions that mainly concerned the main priorities of the administration of the US President - Donald Trump in matters of the country's foreign policy, the relationship between geopolitical centers and the activities of small countries in the field of diplomacy.
The meeting was attended by Artsakh Ombudsman Ruben Melikyan, representatives of state and public structures, other officials.
