ArmInfo. At the National Bureau of Expertise the initial video conference took place with Environmental Control Center Co, which is specialized in monitoring of soil, water resources and air space. This was stated by Lana Mshetsyan, the National Expertise Bureau PR director.
The video conference was dedicated to the discussion of actual issues in the field of environment, particularly to Minamata Mercury Convention, mercury material flows monitoring on the example of Japan, as well as to the approach and technologies implemented in Japan while estimating the level of mercury in mercury containing equipment and others.
The video conference was attended by Environmental Control Center Co top managers. Armenian side was represented by leading experts of environment expertise department lead by Patvakan Voskanyan, the Deputy Director on Science, Karine Danielyan, the head of For Sustainable Development Ngo, and others.
An agreement was reached that based on the results of the video conference mentioned a sector will be elected and the thematic of mutually beneficial project will be estimated, to discuss the issues and implement a feasibility study during next video conference, to develop a Japanese experience based program aimed at the Armenian eco system protection .
