ArmInfo.During his meeting with Armenian Ambassador Tigran Mkrtchyan Lithuanian Prime Ministe Saulius Skvernelis gave high estimation reached in the field of economic cooperation.
According to the information of the press office of Armenian Foreign Ministry, Skvernelis also mentioned the large potential for cooperation in culturaleducational, scientific and other sectors. In his turn, Armenian diplomat noted that in comparison to previous years, the trade turnover between two countries shows essential growth. Mkrtchyan also expressed a readiness to develop cooperation with Lithuania in different aspects. According to the Ambassador, the economy based diplomacy is among priorities of Armenian Government.
Meanwhile, the Lithuanian Prime Minister accentuated the need for regular session of Intergovernmental Commission , mentioning that the official Vilnius fully supports the further development with Yerevan both in bilateral and multilateral formats.
Sides referred also to the new Framework Agreement between Armenia and EU, and to the prospective of visa issuing procedures liberalization.
Lithuanian prime Minister also responded positively the invitation of his Armenian colleague to visit Yerevan in the nearest future.
