ArmInfo. Alexander Lukashenko, the Belorusian president, is a genial politician, whose main resource is the rhetoric, Alexander Iskandaryan, the Director of Caucasus Institute stated at the press conference in Yerevan on November 30, commenting Lukashenko's statement made in Baku.
"Making such statements, Lukashenko is being ruled first by the interests of own country. If one monitors his statements made, for instance, in Russia, in China, in Ukraine and even in Azerbaijan,we will see that there are ten different Lukashenkos. That is why, when listening to his statements, we should consider first where those have been made and in what context, and only after - to analyze what did he say. The probability that in Armenia he will make a quite different statement, is high enough," Iskandaryan mentioned.
He added also, that Lukashenko has some interest in Azerbaijan, and there is no way to avoid that. He also thinks that Armenian side should not undertake any actions in respect to that. To remind, the joint statement of Belarusian and Azerbaijani Presidents, made upon the results of negotiations held on November 28 in Baku, reads that "Both sides mention the importance of Nagorno Karabakh conflict settlement in conformance to the principles and norms of International law, first of all , based on the principle of territorial integrity and immunity of the borders of state, as well as on appropriate Resolutions of UN Security Council and OSCE Resolutions," the joint statement claims. Leaders of two countries, referring to the efforts of OSCE, aimed at the peaceful settlement of Karabakh conflict, as well as the performance of Minsk Group, marked the necessity to pass a new impulse to the process to reach the soonest solution of the problem.
