ArmInfo. The Deutche Welle prepared a report on brain drain from Armenia
The report of German Deutche Welle daily on the brain drain from Armenia states that the population of the country decreases very fast. As it is mentioned, first leave those whom the country needs the most - young and well educated people. One of those is 26 years old Anahit, she is intended to leave for Poland and to start working on a project. "I love my country, but there are several problems, that is why I don't want to stay," Anahit says.
According to Anahit, which works at research centre, it is really hard to reach career objectives in Armenia. Anahit says that all of her friends left - some to Russia, some to other countries. "I feel alone here," she says.
The authors of the report accentuate that the emigration wave rises, and the number of Armenians leaving the country increases instantly.
To remind, at the beginning of 2016 Samvel harutyunyan, the Chairman of the Science Committee under the Ministry of Science and Education of Armenia, presenting the achievements of Armenian science in 2015, stated that the country is concerned about the brain drain flow. "30% of scientific researches are being implemented under the management of young scientists. Already by the age of 35-45 these scientists, having works published in big scientific releases, sign contracts with foreign companies and go abroad, where they get high wages," he said. the Committee chairman expressed a hope that the state authorities will try to solve this problem.
