ArmInfo. Russia values its partners and allies, Minister- Counselor of Russian Embassy to Armenia Andrey Ivanov told ArmInfo's correspondent commenting on Turkish President's chief advisor Yalcin Topcu's statement that Russia needs to revise its policy regarding Armenia.
"Unfortunately, I am not familiar with this statement so I can not professionally comment on it. But I would like to emphasize that Russia and Armenia are strategic partners and allies. We value our partners and allies and respect and trust them that is why such talks are wrongful", Ivanov noted. He also stressed that Russia is a sovereign state and it can decide itself with whom to develop cooperation.
To note, on November 21 Yalcin Topcu, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan's chief advisor told reporters: "If a great country like Russia stops supporting Armenia, which is a terrorist and invading country, and stands by the right side in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, then Russia will have won the hearts of 1.7 billion population of the Islamic world". Topcu expressed hope that in the coming days Russia will take steps leading Azerbaijani children to return to the lands of their fathers and mothers and occupation will finish.
