ArmInfo. Arman Melikyan, the former FM of Nagorno- Karabakh Republic (NKR), an independent analyst, is sure that Armenia cannot avoid being involved into the global conflict of interests of Russia and the West.
Talking to ArmInfo, Melikyan said: "If Moscow decides that involving Armenia into the exacerbating conflict of interests of Russia and the West is in its favor, I cannot even imagine how the incumbent authorities of Armenia will manage to avoid that," he said.
The analyst is sure that foreign policy initiatives coupled with initiatives in the Karabakh peace process will let Armenia and Artsakh avoid the failure of the current talks. He is sure that the Armenian sides should suggest quite new approaches to the mediators to strengthen the negotiation positions of the Armenian parties to the peace process.
Melikyan believes that remaining a hostage to the Madrid Principles the Armenian sides will face capitulation and have to cede territories to Azerbaijan.
