ArmInfo. More than 120 participants from 40 teams have attended one-day training organized by Beeline within Armenian round of Eurasia Mobile Challenge contest. The participants were given opportunity to improve their ideas and solutions in the field of mobile technologies through discussion with experts. The press-service of the company has told ArmInfo that during the training course international and local experts have presented reports on digital technologies, innovations and entrepreneurship. Doctor Amir Tarikhpemya made a report entitled "Lean Start-up Methodology" and Fabian Carlos Guhl presented "Fundraising" report.
"Eurasia Mobile Challenge contest is implemented within Make your Mark global strategy, aiming to help young people implement their ideas, and such training courses will be useful for talented young people, who will be able to apply their newly obtained skills and advance the society and business, leaving their mark in the world," said VimpelCom representative Anna Boyko.
"I believe that such events are a wonderful opportunity for startups to improve their business models and present their project on international platforms", Director of Microsoft Innovation Center Artashes Vardanyan mentioned.
Three teams will be selected from each country in the next stage of the contest to participate in the regional semi-finals. The winner, the second and the third place holders will receive cash prizes (USD 20 000, 15 000, 10 000 respectively) as well as equipment and ticket to participate in International mobile congress in Barcelona within "Eurasia Mobile Challenge", which will be held in 2017.
Armenian partners of the contest are Microsoft Innovation Center, Technology Development Center, Business News-b24.am, IT-news-geek.am, Armenian Mobile Content-app.am, Center for IBM Innovative Solutions and Technologies in Armenia, New Technology Education Fund, Kolba Lab, Impact Hub Yerevan, ittrend.am, Granatus Ventures and Armenia Startup Cup.
