ArmInfo. 92 per 100.000 residents in Armenia die from air pollution according to the UN WHO annual report, which has been prepared with the participation of 16 leading doctors and ecologists.
Even higher death rate has been registered in Ukraine-120 people, Belarus-100 people and Russia-98 people.
Armenia along with Ukraine, Bulgaria, Russia, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Latvia, Georgia, Hungary and China is in the list of ten countries, in which according to WHO air pollution exceeds set international norms and poses serious threat for population's health.
The main reasons of air pollution in these countries are great number of cars, trash burning and waste from coal plants. -l-
To note, it is for the first time WHO publishes such a detailed analysis on separate countries of the world.
