ArmInfo. Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan discussed with the representatives of the Union of Industrial Producers and Entrepreneurs strategy of macroeconomic development.
The press-service of the government informs that during the meeting the interlocutors discussed issues of establishing competitive environment for entrepreneurship, as well as the draft of the new Tax Code. "The government's goal is to create such an environment, in which entrepreneurs working transparently could feel themselves comfortable, while those working in the shadow would prefer to become good faith tax payers. If we do not overcome shadow economy, all the efforts aimed at development of the country will be in vain", the Prime Minister noted.
He also added that the Ministry of Economy renamed into Ministry of Investments and Entrepreneurship Promotion will become a bridge between the government and entrepreneurs. "We are changing attitude to entrepreneur. The government will be your partner that is ready to react to the problems raised by you and do everything to ensure that the joint work is maximum transparent", Karapetyan noted adding that he expects proposals from the representatives of the Union.
Talking about the upcoming events aimed at improving business environment, the Prime Minister informed that possibilities are being discussed to provide to all the industries new for Armenia some tax benefits and benefits in receiving energy products. "These beneficial terms will not create problems in terms of competition for the other players of the market, at the same time they will contribute to attracting investments and opening job places", Karapetyan summarized.
