ArmInfo. Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan has signed a number of decrees on appointing ministers.
The press-service of the Armenian President informs that according to a presidential decree Armen Amiryan was dismissed from the position of member of Public Television and Radio Council and appointed Minister of Culture. By another decree Head of Ingo Armenia insurance company Levon Altunyan will head Ministry of Healthcare.
Deputy Minister of International Economic Integration and Reforms Suren Karayan will take the position of Economy Minister replacing representative of ARFD Artsvik Minasyan, who in turn has been appointed Minister of Nature Protection. Secretary General of National Olympic Committee of Armenia Hrachya Rostomyan replaced Gabriel Ghazaryan as Minister of Sport and Youth Affairs. Acting Minister of Education and Science Levon Mkrtchyan, acting Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Artyom Asatryan, acting Minister of Emergency Situations Armen Yeritsyan, acting Minister of Justice Arpine Hovhannisyan, acting Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan and acting Minister of Territorial Administration and Development David Lokyan retain their positions.
To note, earlier Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan has signed a decree on appointment of Vahan Martirosyan as Armenia's Minister of Transport and Communication, who will replace Gagik Beglaryan. Martirosyan is the co-owner of GNC-Alfa, the trademark of Rostelecom Armenia. By another decree of the President, Ashot Manukyan has been appointed as Minister of Energy and Natural Resources, who will replace Levon Yolyan. Manukyan has an extensive experience in power engineering. He headed the Hrazdan TPP and worked at the power generation facilities in Georgia. Ignaty Arakelyan has replaced Sergo Karapetyan as Minister of Agriculture. Arakelyan was the director general of the Yerevan Brandy Company. Vardan Aramyan has been dismissed as First Deputy Head of the President's Staff and has been appointed as Minister of Finance. Ex-ambassador of Armenia to Argentina Alexan Harutyunyan will replace Vardan Aramyan as First Deputy Head of the President's Staff. Head of the Government's Staff David Harutyunyan and Deputy Prime Minister, Minister for International Economic Integration and Reforms Vache Gabrielyan retain their positions.
