ArmInfo. Acting Foreign Minister of Armenia Edward Nalbandian visited the Rice University in Houston. At the James A. Baker III Institute for Public Policy, Nalbandian delivered a lecture on the challenges in the South Caucasus.
The press office of the Armenian Foreign Ministry has told ArmInfo that Nalbandian presented the path Armenia has passed over 25 years of its independence, as well as Armenia's foreign political priorities, regional problems and the country's approaches to settlement of those problems.
Nalbandian dwelled on the current stage of the Karabakh peace process, and informed the audience of the agreements reached at the Vienna and St. Petersburg summits and Azerbaijan's reluctance to implement these agreements.
He also spoke of Armenia's steps towards prevention of the crime of genocide, as well as Armenia's participation in various international organizations, in peacekeeping operations under the UN auspices, the consequences of the Syrian crisis, migration flows and the situation in the Middle East.
