ArmInfo. The Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) and ARF Dashnaktsutyun (ARFD) have agreed on the number of ministerial portfolios only, Head of the RPA Faction Vahram Baghdasaryan told reporters on September 26.
"We have not agreed on which ministries the ARFD members will head," he said, adding that the new Prime Minister, Karen Karapetyan, has his own idea of the government structure, so there will be reshuffle among the ministers. He noted that the RPA was satisfied with Acting Economy Minister Artsvik Minasyan's work, however, after the changes in the Government's structure the Prime Minister took a decision on reshuffle. He also said that the presence of non-partisan ministers will have a positive effect on the executive body's activities. "Karapetyan is guided by the level of professionalism," he said.
To note, after signing a document on political cooperation with the ruling Republican Party of Armenia, ARFD received portfolios of three ministries - territorial administration, science and education, and economy.
To note, on September 22 the Government underwent structural changes. The Ministry of Economy was renamed into Ministry of Investments and Entrepreneurship Promotion.
