ArmInfo. Acting Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian chaired the Meeting of the CSTO Foreign Ministers on sidelines of the 71st Session of the UN General Assembly in New York.
According to the Foreign Ministry press-office, the sides discussed international problems and the ways to resolve them, the issues on agenda of the 71st Session of UNGA, the priorities of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO), and joint projects.
The foreign ministers addressed a broad spectrum of issues related the activity of the CSTO, including the effective cooperation at international arena, the draft agendas of the next CSTO session and the joint meetings of the CSTO Foreign Ministers Council, the Defense Ministers Council and the Committee of the Security Council Secretaries scheduled for October 14 2016 in Armenia.
Armenia is the current CSTO chair-country. Chaired by David Virabyan, Armenia's permanent representative to the CSTO, the CSTO Permanent Council met on September 14.
