ArmInfo. Government of Armenia will undergo structural reform. In particular, it was announced at today's meeting of the Government that the Ministry of Economy will be renamed into Ministry of Investments and Promotion Entrepreneurship. The tourism sector will have a separate department. The telecommunications sectors will be transferred to the Ministry of Transport and Communications that will be renamed into the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Telecommunications.
Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources will be renamed into Ministry of Energy Infrastructure and Natural Resources.
The Town Planning Ministry will be liquidated. A Committee of Architecture and Cultural Values will be created on the basis of the ministry.
The Ministry of Territorial Administration is renamed into the Minister of Territorial Administration and Development. A Ministry managing the Government Staff will be created. The number of the ministries will total 19.
The given amendments will be submitted to the parliament for consideration at the extraordinary meeting on September 26.
