  • Wednesday, February 22, 03:37

Tbilisi. PanArmenian.Net agency has been covering Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili's visit to Helmand Province, in  Afghanistan. A presentation of the first Georgia combat vehicle "Lazika" will be held this week - Georgian President, Mikheil Saakashvili, stated when addressing Georgian servicemen.

In his words, Georgian Armed Forces have been developing and Georgian combat hardware has been created, which has never been the case in country's history. In the President's words, Georgia will have over 100 thousand trained reservists by the end of spring.

"We have already produced armored vehicle Didgori; we have been producing automatic rifles and other equipment. We have started from the grassroots; we have set up their production in the relatively short time in order to help our Armed Forces with local resources. Of course, we also continue working with our partners in order to once and forever terminate our enemies' attempts to isolate Georgia, including in  that sphere," Saakashvili stated.
