Iranian helicopter violates the air space of Azerbaijan?

Baku. On February 21, at about 11:30 am, an Iranian helicopter violated the air space of Azerbaijan near the border town of Astara, according to local residents. The helicopter flew from Iran, made a circle over a local hospital and flew back.

However, the Executive Power of Astara region told Turan they do not have information on this issue, recommending appealing to the Border and National Security.  The Border Guard Service told Turan that the information is incorrect.  It is impossible to call the National Security Ministry for a week, after the start of arrests of Islamists in the village of Nardaran.

There used to be such incidents in the border between the two states in the past. In 2001 the Iranian military planes entered Azerbaijani territory in the same area, and in 2007, an Iranian helicopter appeared in Astara.
